Since the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam, millions of Ukrainians have been left without clean drinking water or no running water at all. With the help of Blue Check Ukraine, our teams were able to bring clean drinking water to these regions through water delivery, water filtration devices, and identifying locations to drill for water wells. Our teams have brought over 180 tons of bottled water, purchased an osmosis filtration system for smaller villages that can filter 500 liters of water an hour, and identified several areas throughout these regions we will be digging wells to pump clean drinking water. We have also coordinated over 1,000 residential water filter systems that can be used in homes to clean 6-8 liters of water a day. We can now get clean drinking water into any unoccupied area of Ukraine, and we will continue to identify both short-term and long-term solutions to this crisis.
